Re: what do you have planned for winter 07 spring 08 to do to your truck ?
Hey 19673ontree,
That is one nice looking "plain Jane" pick 'em up you got there....and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible! Beautiful ride! My plans this winter is to drive my DD and hopefully keep it out of the ditch. And if budget allows, try to find some original bucket seats. In the spring, if I get ambitious I may tackle the gas tank under the bed project that I didn't have time to do this year. We'll see.......

Re: what do you have planned for winter 07 spring 08 to do to your truck ?
Ironic that this thread came up at the same time of my planning stages on my 68 C10. I had planned on finishing my woodwork shop out back, cleaning out all the woodworking tools, reorganizing the mechanical aspect of the garage, and pulling the C10 in for a complete teardown. The motor and tranny have allready been done, so the body work will commence, and so will the frame. The disc brake conversion will be performed along with a power steering conversion. My wife has plans for the interior work. Oh, and maybe swap in a different cam, the current one is for top-end only, and I would like to tame it down a little.

Re: what do you have planned for winter 07 spring 08 to do to your truck ?
since I'm new at the whole mechanic thing, I plan on learning as much as possible.
on my '72 Burb I want all the drive train installed, caddy 500, th400, gear vendors and the 14 bolt rear on my '72 Sierra, powder coat my buddy bucket frame, re-upholster with black fatigued leather with baseball stitching. oh ya, hit it big time on the stock markets to pay for everything

I would like to have the truck dropped by summer, but other issues might arise before then...

Re: what do you have planned for winter 07 spring 08 to do to your truck ?
My '69 --- hmmmmm ---- by spring i think i can have the frame stripped and POR-15'ed
Thats all i can speculate on at this time for that truck, most of my efforts(if you can call them that) have been spent on my '75 lately

Complete rebuild. Cab floor, rocker, and cab corner repair, new doors, new windshield, relocate gas tank, power disc brakes, 3/5 or 4/6 drop, rally wheels, paint, and interior. Hopefully it will be back on the road by the spring.

Re: what do you have planned for winter 07 spring 08 to do to your truck ?
I just got the new engine in, and installed new gauges in the dash, and I'm moving up the transmission rebuild to right now after taking it out on the highway for the first time. 4000rpm at 120kph! As well as leaking tranny fluid all over the exhaust with the accompanying smoke show. Was planning on an overdrive, but finances are dictating a rebuild of the TH350 at this point.
Hopefully I can now just drive it until spring, and recover all the cash I've spent this fall/winter!
