Re: Whatta you think of my dash?

So at about 1am I started cutting out more metal... I decided I am going to cover and move the heater controls and move the ignition switch....It looks alot cleaner! I am going to put the ignition switch in the lower right hand corner of the glove box door I am putting over the factory gauge cluster area.. as for the heater controls go...... Maybe the glovebox... Maybe I'll fab up something.. The truck will not have a/c so I really wont need to access them every time I drive the truck... I hardly ever use them in my 68.. I need to do some work on my Nova today but maybe I will have more pics out later today or tomorrow.... Thanks for all your feedback!!

Re: Whatta you think of my dash?

I guess if I was to do that...I would put the stereo in the glove box door in front of ya. At least if you are looking at it...you can still see the road. Alot of accidents happened cause people trying to change stations. Just an idea. It does look cool.

Re: Whatta you think of my dash?

Jkaylor68gmc how are you linked to truck builder mag? Its a cool mag (esp since they put a pic of my 68 in there from Charlotte Good Guys last year) but I can't hardly find it in the pittsburgh area...

Re: Whatta you think of my dash?

So has anyone built custom heater cotrols for our trucks??? I have come up with a few options outside of the factory control that seem like they will work good but I always love to see what others have done...

That wouldn't work for me. My wife would be looking right at it the whole time telling me to slow down. UH NO.

Re: Whatta you think of my dash?

That thing is awesome, but I completely understand not having time to work on your truck. We're in the process of looking for land, just got married Sept '06, and it just seems like one thing after another.

Good luck with the engagement, the house, the truck, the Nova, and anything else you have going on...
