Re: who cares if emblems are correct?

The first person that contributes money to my truck build can offer their opinion as to what is "right".

As long as I'm footing the bills, my opinion is the right one.

Re: who cares if emblems are correct?

I say put whatever emblems, badges, or nameplates you want on, just don't try and convince others it's stock. If I come up and ask you about your truck and it's options say I did so and so and decided it's now a --------. Then I say cool, and that's the tune.

My old boss had people argue with what year the pickup was (55 1st series) even though he had the vin decoded and the title, and anybody that knew the trucks would agree 55. That's when you just ignore the know it alls.

I like seeing different stuff, it's different.

Re: who cares if emblems are correct?

well there is a 72 gmc in my town (4 head lights)
and it has a Chevrolet on the hood but it is on the road, and I respect that more than a gmc on the hood and it sitting in a field some where. lol
Just drive it.

Re: who cares if emblems are correct?

From what I've noticed here, the reason people pick apart something is usually in response to someone calling something what it's not, so he's asking for it then As long as you don't say it's "unmolested" or "bone stock" or "concourse restoration" you should be ok hehe

Re: who cares if emblems are correct?

its the act of deliberately trying to pass your vehicle off for something that its not is what really gets enthusiasts riled up. like... NOS decals.

Re: who cares if emblems are correct?

Some things in life just look better shaved....

Axe em all. Have some fun at car shows! Enjoy cruising in your 78 dodge, 64 ford, and your 82 chevy (all guesses as to what your 67-72 really is )

Some youngin', bless his heart (that's "southern" for idiot,) seriously told me his daddy had an 84 chevy that "looked just like yours."
