If you with a tank in the bed do you have to upgrade to a new fuel pump or can the mechanical one handle it?

Stock tank, and really dont feel like spending money to buy something that is already working just fine. If I die, I die : )

Stock ‘Blow-Me-Up-In-The-Cab’ tank with brand new Classic Industries hardware / filler neck / and chrome cap - from my theft episode earlier this year. Had saddle tanks (15 gallons each): waste of weight, plumbing and time to fill - IMO.
