If you guys want, and it's not against any rules, I can throw a ton of suede cars and other stuff.

I like suede and satin paint. More than I like shiney. I've had lots of nicely done, shiney painted cars and trucks, and well.....I don't enjoy them as much.

Too much to worry about.

Up to you guys if you want pelted with tons of suede...

i love the combo of satin and gloss on the blowfish

hotrod flatz is a little funky to spray. satin jobs look *****en but spraying them at home is a little harder. you cant run it and getting the clear to lay down evenly is a little harder. if you want the perfect look, go with just base coat. if you activate the base it wont fade (as easy) and cleans off pretty good. you still have to be a little careful about the gas spilling but thats my opinion. i painted a 62 short fleetside in factory tan and white and it turned out *****en with out clear. wish i had pics or i would post them for you guys. keep the suedes coming.

But I've had many different colors too. Suede is your friend!

My new 62 short fleet will be several shades of primer for awhile. I may do it in red, black, and grey primers on different pannels as I go.

Then it will be, some day, one shade everywhere but with a white roof.

Tim, you really like the 50-54 chevys huh? I like them too. I really like the 53/54 that is suede black with the copper/orange top. That would look pretty cool on my 62.

Yep. Some of my favorite cars are 49-54 chevys. I love them.
I've had:
49 Fleetline fastback kustom
49 2dr sedan
50 hardtop mild kustom
3-51 2drs.
54 210 belair mild kustom

And I've had 5- 48-54 trucks.

That black satin 54 with the copper top is one of my most favorite cars. So tasteful.

And if you look at my old gold satin 66 short/fleet, what you can't see is the orange flake in the center of the hood, running into the dash. It was *****in.

I know what you mean. I really like the black suede but everyone has it. I`m not sure what other colors would look good on my 62 in suede but a couple I`ve seen in regular gloss that I like is orange with a white top and turquoise with a white top. I think black wheels would look better with those colors than red. Anyone got pics with lime green wheels? Haven`t seen too many hotrods with green wheels lately. What about body color wheels and wide whites?
