Does anyone have knowledge of the wiring for these models with power seats? I have acquired a set of bucket seats from an 01 Tahoe, which is apparently the same seat as the Silverado's. This has 6 way power seats with the controls on the side, along with heat controls that must have been on the console. I have no idea of the wiring of these beasts though. The side airbag modules are also included, so I wanted to make sure I know what is what before I knock myself unconscious...

I had the 2000 seats in my 70 stepside and left the gas tank in the cab. I'm horizontally challenged, 5'10 and probably pushing 3 bills. I thought the seats were comfortable. If I had to do it again I probably would have taken the tank out just so I could lean the seat back just a little.

no, no power seats. I just slid them back as far as I could and then lined up the holes.

Don't hook any power to the yellow wires! those are the airbag signals. when i did mine, of all the wires there, i only used power and ground. there were two power wires, and one ground wire, i believe. i just twisted the two power wires together and that was all. i think mine have heaters in them, but i'm not sure which wires they are. my seats are actually from an '04 trailblazer, but wiring should be similar.

Power Seats: It was a simple power and ground wire. I cut off the factory connector and wired the power to accessories in the fuse box and ran a ground wire. The passenger was just spliced off the same wires for the driver side. picture will link you to more shots of the seats. It was great in a suburban, but they are tight in a pickup.

I have tan 01 Tahoe heated leather power seats in my 72 GMC, and I like them. I am 5' 10" though, and have done the column collapse too, the column is down as far as it will go b/c of the neutral safety switch. I would consided using seats from a Envoy or Trailblazer, though, because they are a little bit smaller. I am also curious of the wiring, I have the power to them but I don't have the bunwarmers hooked up yet.
