Re: Anybody else do models?

About 10 years ago when I had my last '68, there was someone who made a conversion for the AMT '72 truck to put the '67/'68 hood and grill on it.

I just picked up another '68 tonight and wondered if anyone has ever seen this conversion and if so, where can I get one?

Thanks

One of the two models I've done was pretty plastic..... Sorry couldn't resist.

I need to get back into building models. Used to do it as a kid. It's a good way to keep myself out of trouble. There's some nice lookin ones here!

Thanks, basically I just sprayed it and stole rallyes from a Camaro kit.Nothing is glued.I did this around 1990 and forgot.I don`t like the interior.I started into collecting this past winter and went into the attic to see what I already had.I saw I had two of those kits, one open and one sealed.I guess I went out and grabbed another way back when.I was going to make a 4wd version.
I built when I was a youngin`,broke my foot winter`84 and while Christmas shopping for my kids I rediscovered kits.I built a few,but mostly grabbed up re-issues of the kits I built when I was young.Back then,I had a big tv box full of parts.I remember digging through there or dumping it to find parts.I had my own junkyard!

Jim,here`s another picture of the Nova:

Re: Anybody else do models?

The newest models I built were of the '66's.....when they were new. Never bought many truck models....'32 Chevy Panel; 34 Ford; 53 Ford; 61 Ford Unibody; 65 El Camino. Still have 'em....in the garage....in a big box.

Re: Anybody else do models?

I had that happen once before and I thought I was in trouble for showing pictures off another site because I made a reference to where I got them. And,they sell pictures.I physically deleted that post. But,this is my picture of my model. So,it`s back again.
