It s sort of like Overhaulin' where they get some input and then take the ball and run with it. They have spent a lot of time researching these trucks in the last couple of weeks and they have their own ideas. good to hear they're thinking along the same lines as you. i don't know if i could live with myself knowing someone was doing a ton of work to my truck and not letting me see it until it's done.

Can't wait to see the result. Should be "fun". Hopefully they won't dork something up that isn't too hard to change back. At least it sounds like you are all on the same page....or at least in the same book

Hey, cant complain to much any free improvements are still free. Then what money you were going to have to spend on it can be used to alter it more to your taste once the hard stuff is complete. IF its not 100% to you liking when you get it back. Personally I think its awesome you don't get to see it. I think it would just slow down the process and you would actually get less done if you were chiming in on every little thing. Again, congrats! I can't wait until we see the unveiling!

Very cool! That is great that your on the same page. What you should do is buy a few disposable camera's and give them to the builders to take photos for you. When you have them developed they can putthem on a disc for you as well as give you prints.

Especially if I knew that my input wasn't going to be considered. The shop gave me a real warm and fuzzy feeling yesterday and I quickly realized that these guys were into the project and they weren't going to do something that I would totally hate. I also realize that they are footing the bill and this is a good marketing opportunity for them and I need to give them some free license to do what they want as well.

Me neither. I am taking the turnaround time with a grain of salt, but realistically if I get the truck back this year, it will exceed my expectations. I have a few buddies with shops and I know that they couldn't pull off a schedule like that. One thing worth mentioning is that the shop seems to have a good sized staff and if Overhaulin'can do it it 7 days...

And most likely there will be some items that I'll want to change and there will probably be some period of time where I won't be permitted to change anything. I sort of get the feeling that the 'Burb will go on tour after it's completion. It might have more of a life than myself...!

That is my opinion as well. The first thing that comes to mind is the wheels. Wheels and tires are such a personalized thing and I can't guarantee that I would like wheels that even I picked out after a month. We will see how it goes.
