I know where your coming from though, when I first ran my old N2O fuel system I had the reg. mounted direct on the firewall and got busted by tech the first time out. That's when I built a extension to move it out 7" and no problem after that (even though it didn't look any safer to me) they were happy so I said that's much better hey, because getting on the bad side of the tech guys is a loosing battle, seen guys do that before LOL!
Perfect, Looks like you have everything under control - truck looks awesome!

The second one is the return line for my fuel system.

Re: It's back and slmost ready!

Yes mine also has residual valves. Also if you want a nicer looking proportioning valve, Russel makes a nice billet one.

A 180 shot will pick it up more than you think. It should definitely put it in the 9's.

By the way, very nice truck you have there.

Best pass with the old dragtruck:
5.32 @ 131.6 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.25 60' Fogger/Plate 2003

Best pass with the street 406 hydraulic roller motor w/ mild plate tuneup
5.93 @ 114 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.29 60' 2003 or 2004

Re: It's back and slmost ready!

Thanks Tom, the time in my sig is with a 150 shot so not sure where 180 would put me. I've had nothing but nitrous grief this year, little stupid things new micro switch was bad, then 2 fuel pressure safety switches in a row, solenoid plunger each time ruining a trip to the track. This weekend had a bit of time to tune fuel sat but with bracket races on Sun didn't have time to mess with timing so have to wait next year as this was the season final for us. I know if I would have had a bit more time to make more runs that a high 10.5 would have came around.

Re: It's back and slmost ready!

There's a pic on page one of this thread. Fuel cell, battery box and a Optima, nitrous bottle, cover for my shock towers, and stock fenderwells that have been widened into tubs.

Re: It's back and slmost ready!

Bad a$$ truck 71, Love the heavy hitters, mine is a 66 lon fleet and with me in it on DOT tire through mufflers and a 200 shot NX plate system just netted me a 9.97 and a9.99 pass both with 1.43 60 ft, all with the stock trailing arms 6 in drop springs and shocks, I do have the full Fatman front with willwood 12 inch brakes all around, stops on a dime. Oh and running a cast headed 489 BBC with the plate- pump gas no bottle ran a 11.18 @ 120 mph

Re: It's back and slmost ready!

Thanks, same back at you just checked out your post that was moved over, welcome to the drag section. Do you have anymore pics you could post up? Wouldn't mind checking out the rest of it. I hope to some day have a 9sec time slip, will have to be at a outlaw track on a fun day, I usually race at a NHRA track and have been kicked off before 11.47 no roll bar LOL.
