Nice work. The chassis looks pretty low. Are the coilovers adjusted all the way down or did you opt for the drop spindles?

Thanks 68GMCCustom, The coilovers are set to ride height with the bottom control arms level. Yes I do have the drop spindles on it.

Thanks Frizzle Fry.

Re: Project C-10 Stepper. In TN.

so what type of ground clearance will you have? I ask because I have been looking at the Fatman IFS setup and the ART rear air setup for my project too. I have a bare frame in the garage from under my '68 (riding on a '72 chassis now) that I'll be starting on soon. I was thinking 17's up front and 18's in back for a raked stance.

Re: Project C-10 Stepper. In TN.

68GMCCustom, The frame sits about 4 1/2" off the ground. this measurement is right behind the front tire. The wheels and tires on the chassis right now are just camaro wheels and tires size 245/50-16. When I get closer to getting this truck done I would like to get some 18's with a decent tire on them. So that should raise it up a little.

Re: Project C-10 Stepper. In TN.

I know all too well how a short wheel/tire combo can make a difference. My '72 chassis had a 25.5"-26" tall tire. I'm running one that's a little over 28" now.

I'll be following you build! I plan on starting my own build thread once I get my frame cleaned up. It really started months ago when I sold the complete body off my '72 chassis and then put my '68's body on it...freeing up the '68 chassis to be stripped down and then built up while I'm still driving the truck.

Not had very much time to work on the truck lately, but i did put a new air cleaner on . I might run some piping to it later and make it more of a cold air intake.Name: 2624.JPG

Thanks, mas09ts, The air cleaner is made by spectre. I have not had much time to work on the truck lately. I have bought some repop 67 fenders and core sopport. That is about it.

Re: Project C-10 Stepper. In TN.

O.K. Its been along time since I have posted any changes on this project. Lets just say its been slow. I Have bought a bed from one of the board members and have started trying to put this truck together again. I spent alot of time working on the drivetrain this past fall all the way up to this summer. Here are some pictures of what it looks like now. Name: 100_7083.jpg

hey man that looks really good? Are those the wheels your keeping or they just for rolling it around?

You are almost done! It will be very nice when you are done with it.

Re: Project C-10 Stepper. In TN.

Good to see your still making progress.

I finally started mine...on a much smaller budget then I planned.
Building a carb'd genIV 6.0L LSx with a 200-4r and went with drop spindles, drop springs, adj. panhard, and F&R sway bars. Almost done with disassembly/prep work...so I can start "building" it.
