Got it mounted today.....the mount is kinda hokey, and the drain plug fitting doesn't thread in very far, hope it doesn't leak, other than that it was a pretty easy install. In the directions it says to run the engine for 30 minutes to warm it up and get the thermostat open.....I ran it for quite a while but the lower hose never seemed to warm up...... And for some reason one of my tranny cooler lines is leaking now heres a couple pics...

Re: Engine block warmer
Well, it works. I got up at 3am and plugged it in, fired it up at 6:40am and it started right up and idled...no choke mind you...heat too!!! Drove awsome. I am happy with my purchase, though it does take 1500 watts.....might not use it all the time..... lol Thanks for all the feedback and advice!!
Joe

Re: Engine block warmer
Joe, what brand is that heater? It's been steady 20 degrees here and that would help out getting to work a little sooner.

Re: Engine block warmer
i have oneof those on my 68 gmc if i need to use it i just plug it in a half hour early they work quick cause you fan isnt cooling it down. hot air instantly. its starts better plugged in at -30 than in the summer when its 95. freeze plugs work great on fuelies but i would always use these on carburated vehicles
