Re: What did you get done? 11/23
Put some trim on my teardrop trailer:
came to the realization that I need to tap a couple of new holes for the valve cover on my 71, the PO of the motor stripped out the old holes pretty good, then filled with with JB Weld or somethin.. had interior screws holding it down with LOTS of sealer

blew out a lot of snot... i hate colds
did a brake job on the wifey's Sonata... found out there are three, yes three, different styles of brake pads for 04 Sonata's which resulted in two trips to the parts store picked up the block from the machine shop. #8 sleeve looks good, nice hone, now all I have to do is re-assemble it AGAIN

Nothing truck related.
Went on a trip to see an old school mate I haven't seen in twenty years, did a bit of fishing so plenty of fresh fish to eat.

Re: What did you get done? 11/23
Worked on My 77 2wd Blazer's motor.Prepping for the new goodies, and cleaning all the hardware. Found out that I must have been blind when I measured my rotors last year, as I was sure they were 1.inch.. Well of course I got a killer deal on a new set of Bell Tech 3in drops, but that's going to take new bearings and rotors if I want to use them. Still undecided.. I have bag plates and bags as well. Oh and I got some spring saddles for the rear axle flip kit that's coming soon..
Also, Took my son's 75 Blazer and worked on getting it ready for winter. It needed a few things.
Next will be all the fluids and maybe some new tires.. then maybe seats and new rubber for the top..

Re: What did you get done? 11/23
Nah, it was power steering fluid for sure. The original booster was a leaker too so the source of this leak wasn't a mystery to me... thanks for the input anyway Square84!

Yo! Damn! '68 Bonneville! WOW!
How about 11/27? Dx'ed my FRANKENTRUCK speedo, rebuilt the '78 instrument panel with '73 speedometer and fuel gauge, and re-installed with a gear that has fewer teeth to match my rear ratio. Even ate some turkey,...Happy Thanksgivng! Todd. |
