Re: It may not make it to craigslist….
Truck: Great looking 4x4. Get rid of the shell and drive it. Buy both of them and sale the corvette and make back all your money.
Corvette is a 65, 66, maybe 67 but it's not a 427 unless they changed the hood. The factory 427's had the center scoop with the badges on it. Look at this one or this one. Notice the hood!

Re: It may not make it to craigslist….
I love the idea of being debt free, but I do believe I would take out a second on the house to get that vette.

Re: It may not make it to craigslist….
brad_man_72,
You are right on the 67 hood. I'm not trying to say that it is or isn't. I was just trying to state it's hard to say by a picture alone. The body really doesn't tell you anything until you pop the hood open and see the motor. Hopefully it's a 427. If not it's stil a nice car to have.

Re: It may not make it to craigslist….
The side vents or gills are one good way. The 67 is the only year to have 5 verticle gills.

Re: It may not make it to craigslist….
It's not as bad as you think. Heck I could afford insurance on my 69 427 Vette at age 16. It was my very first mortgage.

Re: It may not make it to craigslist….
I'd like to roll that in a Barrett Jackson Auction and see what kind of money it brought as is.
