Truck: Great looking 4x4. Get rid of the shell and drive it. Buy both of them and sale the corvette and make back all your money.
Corvette is a 65, 66, maybe 67 but it's not a 427 unless they changed the hood. The factory 427's had the center scoop with the badges on it.
Look at this one

or this one. Notice the hood!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I don't know "anything" about Corvettes but the guy that owns the building where it's stored said the VIN indicates it is a true 427, 4 speed car...

I haven't heard from the owners son yet. He is supposed to contact me with the info on both and prices. It may be a day or two.

I love the idea of being debt free, but I do believe I would take out a second on the house to get that vette.

the big block "stinger" hood is a 67 only thing. the hood on the bb vette in question is a 66, no scoop but a distint oddly shaped buldge. since i cant could someone post a pic of a shiney 66 bb vette?

Re: It may not make it to craigslist….

brad_man_72,
You are right on the 67 hood. I'm not trying to say that it is or isn't.
I was just trying to state it's hard to say by a picture alone.
The body really doesn't tell you anything until you pop the hood open and see the motor. Hopefully it's a 427. If not it's stil a nice car to have.

right, you could put either of the bb hoods on any of the 63-67. i was assuming it was correct, original, unmolested. other than the hoods and a 63 split i have no idea how to tell any of the midyear vettes apart.

The side vents or gills are one good way. The 67 is the only year to have 5 verticle gills.

It's not as bad as you think. Heck I could afford insurance on my 69 427 Vette at age 16. It was my very first mortgage.

I'd like to roll that in a Barrett Jackson Auction and see what kind of money it brought as is.
