Re: wheel tragedy
Come to think about it when we drive our trucks we then become the Ambassadors for our hobby. What we do, say, and how we act reflects on us and our beloved trucks. Glad to see you got a solution. Reputation earned and given!

That would have been too funny! My old beater work truck didn't have a show quality paintjob; it was lucky if it got pressure-washed once in a blue moon!

Re: wheel tragedy
The wheels on my '96 are polished and were neglected for several years while the truck was in the USAF. I bought a Power Ball and the Mini version, along with some Mother's polishes. It was a lot of work at the git-go, but if you stay with the cleaning/polishing, it will get easier.
There's a new style of polishing ball on the market. I don't remember who makes it, but I'm looking for one.

Re: wheel tragedy
I hope all of you that mentioned the truck stop parking lot polishers... I found the recipe awhile back here. Pretty interesting, I haven't tried making any yet, but I'm going to! Still trying to figure out how to convince neighbors I do not have a meth lab with the smells I imagine this will make.
#2 Unfortunately, in the day and age we live in today, you cant help but doubt that when someone leaves a car wash and comes back later with any damage problems that it could be a scam. We know you are an upfront guy, but someone who doesn't know the person... well. Last edited by diggertodd; 04-07-2009 at 08:08 PM. Reason: typo |
