Re: donors
i'm not angry, just wanted to be sure you saw it was the 73-87 trucks, not the 73-97 anything else.
the 73-87 stuff is plentiful and cheap. there are a couple places up here in the city with lots of 73-87 stuff. one salvage yard I know of you could probably get the whole front end with steering components for @ $100 or find a donor truck and you can use lots of the parts, then sell the rest for scrap. this has been discussed at great length on here.

Re: donors
are you seriuos ($100) i had an 85 frame with front end and rear end then i got frustrated with no progress and sold it to a neighbor
and as soon as i can get in touch with him i will see what it is going to cost me to get it back. i have been kickin myselfsince i found this sight and read about the 73-87's bolting up. i may need to take a trip to the city though. oh about the cadilac, i saw some one say they were going to bolt all the caddy peices they could bolt to their truck. what would be the easiest way to go about the power windows, just stick with trucks or could some cars work. thanks josh |

Re: donors
I don't know about the caddy stuff...but I doubt any of it is "bolt-in"
Carey's Triple C Auto Salvage 3820 S Eastern Ave Oklahoma City you might call them first and make sure they have the stuff you need..

Re: donors
The only Caddy parts that I know of that will work on our trucks are the rear calipers if you are doing 4 wheel disc brakes......and maybe the master cylinder and prop valve.
The "easiest" way to get power windows is to buy a kit specific to your truck. There was a thread here a while back about using Astro Van window motors in our trucks, but it required a little fabrication.

Re: donors
where is the cheapest place you all know of to get new parts. i just got my new parts catolog from classic parts.com yesterday and the power window kits are $420 thought i could use a donor car or truck that might be cheaper but then again i would need to do some fabricating, any other suggestions.
