Looks like you're moving forward instead of backward so far. Wish I could say the same for my ride. I won't even have it running to get to the meet this Saturday . How long ago was the crate 350 dropped in it?

Re: project: FTD

Cool enough, sometimes the shipping can kill the deal, but I figure the taxes = the shipping and my NAPA and the like around here are more than Summit? Good luck, need some picts though!!

Very nice. Coming together well it looks like. I've rigged several things on my vehicles so far so a little wire here and bubble gum there isn't a big deal .

Re: project: FTD

o well today's progress ahs been in garage spraypaint..
ive recovered from the "incident" the other day with using cheap paint..
sooo.. i bought better rattle bomb and redid it.. hahahah still too poor for por-15....
BUT today i was at autobone.. and after being at one where said employees ran over my little ones being in a rush...
i raised hell.. and went to another autobone..
cause for some reason they thing they are mroe important then children.. -f them.. jerks..
on a lighter note second autobone announced a spray deal.. so i saved 7 bucks on 5 cans of engine paint... and then got my
"i love the army discount"
because some old lady loved my kids..
i love my ids too.. and they gave her hugs.. and I like that new autozone i found today..

so here's what i painted today..

Re: project: FTD

p.s. it took the life of TWO wire wheels, 4 varying sizes of commercial wire brushes, 4 cans of easy off oven cleaner...
to get this done..
tranny -xfer case, and bell housing..
OH and i guess someone thought it was funny to swap the caps on the paint at the store and (i was an idiot for not checking) painted half my parts chevy orange and the other half ford red...
grrrr.. so there's another can of paint wasted..
crap... wow...
and to add to today's fun! a surprise bill took $700!!!!!!!! of my 800!!! allowance for this project.. so minus what i have stocked up on my garage and various hiding spots... no new parts for two weeks... F U insurance people!
and i cracked my wife's winshield today.... and also somewhere there's a "death wobble" in her steering that is NOT tire related....
CRAP!
but i had a great day in the garage... OH and i smoke cigars.. and had a great "dark sumatra" today... got distracted... went to grab it.. grabbed the cherry.. and now my fingers are sensitive..
also... Veterans Affairs is slacking on my medications.. so now my stomach hurts like a mother--------.... and i got the ****s..
p.s. ive had a sinus infection since saturday...
look guys it's a PITY PARTY!

Re: project: FTD

nice truck what are your plans for the heater
you should find a heater out of a 60-63 c10
they are an underdash unit and all you have to do is drill 5 holes(3 mounting holes and 2 for heater hoses)

Re: project: FTD

the only thing changed was the duct work, i juts cut off teh condenser, i'll be using the "ac" option still as basically a regular fan
i almost never drive witht he windows up unless it's just to dang cold...
but hey... it should work.. the AC relay and little vaccum ball have been pulled from the harness in the engine bay and relocated behind the glove box (outta sight outta mind)
im still sanding the bondo.. im out of 80 grit.. an it's taking forever to bring down with 100...
