My disappointment lies in the driveability. Turns out, this Muncie is a close-ratio unit....combine that with the low rear-end gears I have (never even checked them yet) and you got a truck that'll barely go on the freeway.....AAAARRRRRR !!!! But let me tell you...IT CAN SURE LAY SOME RUBBER !! I think the 700r4 might find its way in there...someday...but for now it's cool. Now, I am willing to tach this thing out for 1 1/2 to 2 hours on the freeway to Vacaville ??

You can do some pretty good burn outs with a 700R4 also. I was able to get 1st and 2nd in my truck. I had to let up so the tires would stop spinning even.. Oh yeah. Shift kit helps..

oh nvm i thought that was thinking the car was on the ground, and thought "damn, if his suspension unloads, it could fall out." didnt realize it was on a rack. i think i had a driveshaft from my stock 3 speed and since u were close, seeing about trading u. but it looks ok now. my current driveshaft stick out that far when unloaded.

Re: The "Get the Frick'n truck ready for Vacaville" thread....
I steam cleaned my barbeque last Sunday, picked up all the trophies yesterday on my birthday. Today, I have to design the entry forms and print them out at work.
Tonight when I get home: Wash the bird sh*t off the '66, clean the glass inside & out, vacuum 2 years of leaves from the carpet, remove the plywood from the bed & hose that down, load the barbeque, move all of the front end parts off of my colapsable table and load that in along with chairs, buy the food & buns, load the cooler, wipe down the banner, ice, charcoal, trash bags, paper towels, markers, assorted beverages, cooking utensiles. uh.. did I forget anything? Oh yeah! I still can't find the tags for the Airstream so I won't be taking that this year.
