Re: Check out this wild 1969 chevy custom c10

It's a bit custom for my taste but is well executed.I don't care for the tailgate detail either.I think he pulled off the look he was going for but agree the front suspension is kind of an eyesore on such a nice truck.

I think we're all on the money on this one. It's a custom; admire it for what it is, then move on and drive a real truck. I'd like to see a nice 9' Lance camper on that bad boy, towing a boat... HAHA

Appreciate the effort and talent as everyone else does.......tons of bodywork hours.....gotta have good "sculpting skills".

One of the most obvious things to me that strike me as "odd" is that you spend crazy amounts of time making the truck as far from stock as possible and then put "nostalgia" type cast wheels on it.....go figure.

Just another useless opinion!

Re: Check out this wild 1969 chevy custom c10

It looks like it could have been done back in the late`60s/early`70s in most ways.Like a Hotwheels concept. The color and wheels go that direction, too.

Great job on the fabrication, and I can appreciate the time and money. However, I think the nose and the bed look too small for the truck. Did he cut the bed down in any way? Maybe my eyes are playing tricks. Anyway, well done, just not my style.

Re: Check out this wild 1969 chevy custom c10

I like it, as with most any custom there are a few things I would have done different, the headlights being the big one.

It's a show truck and probably has won or can win just about any show it is entered in and that is what makes it cool.

The sectioning, shortenening the bed and making the bed part of the cab had to be three major projects that had to flow together and they flow together well.

I also thing the wheel/tire combo looks right as I don't get caught up in what I think of as "fad wheels"

Great bodywork, great paint without a bunch of embellishment to cover up flaws and sticking to one theme works for me.

still learning about some of the custom work on these trucks, but couldn't that be fixed by using drop spindles instead of what looks like just lowering springs?

Re: Check out this wild 1969 chevy custom c10

Most everyone on this forum has a custom truck of some sort. I think it is a nice custom and yet my favorite part is the rear window. I wonder why that is?
