The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

A lot of times the reason your burning through is because the metal is so thin from the rust. When you get to good metal it won't burn though as easy.

Or if you grind too much to clean up the metal it will do the same thing.

Re: operation daily driver... my new 64

yea, im not a huge fan of chrome. so i figure black will do the trick..

however, huge setback today. apparently the catylist we used with the clear was no good. and it didnt dry. so while we were cleaning the shop and a freak rainstorm came, it ruined it. waterspots everywhere.. so.. off to the sandblaster again fml

Re: operation daily driver... my new 64

update.. we decided to see if the clear would dry over the next day or two.. and it is looking promising.. the waterspots are mostly dissapearing, and because it is to be a daily driver, and it is only the firewall... and since we are on a deadline.. we are leaving it. so the z-bar bracket, motor, and trans went in today.. pics to follow
