Re: I got a surprising award at Goodguys this weekend

Way to go Bryan!!! That`s no cookie-cutter ride. You did the right stuff to make it a rolling fun machine.I saw the show mentioned in two places before seeing your thread. One where Liz said you went home with an award and one where Luv said he was riding with you when you left the show.I put 2 & 2 together and figured Craig was your award.Needless to say, that really had me scratchin`my head. Thanks for clearing that up.

Congratulations Brian!!!!!!

It feels even better to win at a big show not like the local 100 car show type....The blazer looks amazing

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

You could have at least WAXED IT before you went down there!! J/K I wouldn't even be able to come up with an IDEA like that, let alone follow through with it and turn it into something like that. Well done, sir!!

Forgot to add... how do you keep winning awards for such an unfinished vehicle? (inside joke peeps.)

Also, did they give you an estimated date when it will be in the magazine? I think their timeline is usually 2-3 months

I can appreciate your modesty, but your ride deserves every award it gets!! I just subscribed to that mag last month, so now I'll be looking forward to seeing your ride in it!

I don't know Jesse, maybe I shouldn't build a console. Don't know anything about the mag. I did look through some of my old Classic Truck mags and a couple of them had the Classic Trucks Finest 5 pics in their coverage of the event, but not all of them. If it gets in the mag, it would be cool, but probably not expecting it.

Re: I got a surprising award at Goodguys this weekend

Bryan, having seen it in person I am not surpised at the award.I am somewhat surprised that the judges recognized it for being so cool.
You had an outstanding vision and the ability to make it come together.I think your wife and daughter should also get some credit since they are right there with you all the way.I think you will build a console but maybe it should be removeable so that you can still win awards.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
