Re: Paying tribute to one of our own BigDaddyDave
I clicked on "Find more posts by BigDaddyDave" and found that a large percentage of his posts were welcoming newbs to the site. To take the time to do that as often as he did tells me that he genuinely felt that this was a big ole family and everone was welcome here. I also enjoyed his posts on other topics and don't remember him ever saying anything negative about anyone or anything. He will be remembered as one of the nicest guys on this site and will be truly missed. R.I.P. BDD.

Re: Paying tribute to one of our own BigDaddyDave
To Everyone that befriended Big Daddy Dave, I just wanted you all to know that you all meant the world to him. He talked about this site OFTEN! There have been many times that we were on the phone and he would just start talking about someone that I had no clue who it was (using first names like they were close friends or family) and finally I would ask "who in the world are you talking about?" and he would just say "oh, sorry, I'm talking about one of the guys on the truck site" So I know you guys meant a lot to him. (we have family that he can't remember their names! lol) To anyone that didn't have the opportunity to talk to or meet him, let me just say.. He was a wonderful man.. a loving husband, father, son, friend and the BESTEST BIG BROTHER ANYONE could ask for. He was the rock in our family! and he will forever be missed.
Thanks to all of you that have posted your condolences or shared memories you had of him. It is greatly appreciated. I wish you all well and ask that you continue to pray for our family. susan (bigdaddydave's little sister) |
