Re: Scary suspension pics
Here's some I found on this forum. The PO did a great job of hacking this LWB to a SWB. Fortunately the new owner fixed all this mess. LINK

Re: Scary suspension pics
That looks like it will do it. Besides, if it breaks no biggie. It's only your steering.

Re: Scary suspension pics
Me and my nephew fixed a dude's Tacoma after a "shop" back half'd it. They used galvanized pipe for the link bars, and Ikea thin 1" square stock for the retarded spider web design on top to hide the crappy stuff underneath. Instead of bumpstops, they welded a bar across the frame for the links to hit. He almost crapped when we cut the frame off at the back of the cab, he was like, "can't you guys just fix the few problems without redoing it?"

Re: Scary suspension pics
it isnt even the fact that they cant weld or anything like that they didnt even try to make it look nice ....... if they done that with a bit more efford it wouldve prolly be more solid

Re: Scary suspension pics
Here are some shots of what I found in my truck. This rear end was out of a 1973 Chevelle. They cut the upper ears off and welded the leaf spring and shock brackets on. If that's what you call welding. I found a leaking axle seal and when I opened up the rear end to to remove the axle this is what I found inside the diff. I have no idea why it didn't make noise or break but it didn't. Oh and by the way the wiring was worse.
