Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
That's awesome. My son just keeps asking when I'm gonna fix my truck so we can ride in it. We were actually down in Bend for the past 5 days, my wife's sister lives in Drake Park. Should have looked you up while I was there!

Those are great shots. You should be proud. That's the whole reason I bought another chevy truck. It will be a father and son project. They are great to cut your teeth on.

Glad to hear he enjoyed his maiden voyage in the truck, just make sure you know where the keys are at, at all times now.

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
There is still one more test that he will have to pass that my wife failed terribly!!! I've have to see how he does with the 3 gear charcole tire burnout.
A piece of good information is to know in advance that if you roll onto a desolate hwy and pitch your truck sideways while rolling through the gears, your wife is going to be ultra pissed. Made for a quiet ride home and I felt like a kid in school that was told he will be sent to the principal's office if he laughs. Had to keep looking out the driver's window so she couldn't see me giggling!! I think Jr will do just fine with that one. Thanks for all the kind words guys.....there is nothing like being a father, and nothing like being able to share your hobby with a little guy or gal !!! |

Wow Prostreet! You have a great family that you should be very proud of. Your son just looks like he is ready to take the ole C10 around the block in that second picture. PRICELESS!!
BTW - What is it that you do have under that hood of yours? Just wondering!!

Re: maiden voyage and one proud papa!!
460 and the bark is meaner than the bit. Very streetable and very dependable. This motor has never let me down and it's been in 2 trucks. It's just a little warmed-over with 702 closed chambered heads. Course us BBC guys know that a warmed-over 460 scoots pretty well and has gobs of torque which is what these trucks like and need.
