I changed to five lug. Front end came from ECE. The rear end on our trucks is the same through 70, but changes in 71,....3/4 in wider,...I think. Early axles out of a full size impala fit. Mine are alloy axles from Dutchman. I'm changing the front calipers to polished two piston ones from performance online,...really nice product.

very good looking swap. a couple of things i noticed are the restrictive air filter (air makes a 90* turn right in front of the tb) and the fuel pump location, mine is also in the front of the fuel cell its fine unless you like to accelerate with less than a half tank of gas, when you hit the gas the fuel runs to the back of the tank starving that awesome ls engine.
i ran a 15.2 added 3 gal of gas (all i had) then ran a 14.7, stock 5.3 4l60e and 3.73. havent been back to see what it would run with enough gas in the tank.

Brad. The intank fuel pump is the GM one used in the corvette, it was recommended by Ricks Hot Rods, they made the tank. As far as the air filter, S&P recommends this set up. Having said this, I haven't tried either but I will let you know how it works,...should be firing it up once I put the rad support and Griffin Rad in with dual fans.

Have you put the cab on the frame at all? With the shifter location being changed, where is the shifter in relation to the floor of the cab? Where was it before?

Wow, that looks amazing. I'd love to add a Gen III/VI to our 67, but time and $$$ are the issues. I would love to have those kind of skills. Keep up the great work!!

ulakovic, hi, cab hasn't been on yet. I have measured and measured again, it is almost exactly where the stock 4spd would be. Truck was a small hump, and from other posts, I knew I had to change to a large hump,...got a really rust free one out of an automatic, so all I need to do is cut the hole. As far as the T-56, the shifter is actually located in the old inspection cover location. Milled my own shifter mount out of a block and used the old hurst shifter base. Took a 4 spd shifter and removed all the old parts off the end where it goes into the old 4 spd, welded the corvette bracket on and tada!. Mcleod makes the kit, you have to totally diassemble your trans, cut a section out of the shifter rail, and then pin the new mcleod piece into position. Hardest part, once you get over cutting the shifter rail in half, is drilling the shaft. The rail is case hardned, so you have to grind a dimple, if you will, then follow with a pilot hole.
