Re: snow covered trucks
Not much snow on the truck - highway speed took it off! Been driving to work in it every day. First real snow we've had in 3 years, and I hate it worse than ever. |

Re: snow covered trucks
I know it's not my '62 but my '98 Durango on 33s at the time. We don't get much snow in the Las Vegas Valley, this was 2008 at the M resort jobsite.

Re: snow covered trucks
Having never actually seen snow of any kind can I ask, do your trucks actually run in this kind of weather? My truck doesn't like to start if it gets down in the low 50's, I can't imagine trying to get it going blow freezing.

Re: snow covered trucks
I'm sure they would with a fresh battery, haven't had to start them as I drive newer vehicles with all the salt on our roads though. The toughest part is digging them out ! This particular snow shot was a 24 inch dump all in one. It hit quite a few Midwestern states with the same results. We are getting some snow today also if you would like some ? LOL.........

Re: snow covered trucks
Caught a nice step side at the station last night. It was during the start of our first snow "storm". We have a few inches now.

Re: snow covered trucks
We received 8 more inches last night !
Heres what the Salt does to our trucks, these were shot today . This is a Southern rust free panel as it sits today. This is a shot of the driveway so I could get out to get Diesel fuel for the Case skid loader, OH and a 1960 GMC Cab to keep with the theme here .

Re: snow covered trucks
Oh I know what northern salt does to a truck, I'm originally from southern Michigan and I've had quite the few trucks rust out on me, mainly Fords due to the structural integrity of the "A" and "B" pillars when they rust out they make the cab useless.

Re: snow covered trucks
You know guys here in Calif they banned salt from the roads, it was killing all the trees and nat shrubs...surprised that a lot of the rest of the nation is still using salt.
