Re: What did you get done 1/3/09 new year edition

I got a remote keyless entry system from my wife for Christmas, so I got that installed on Fred. Now I can finally quit scratching the paint from the drunk guy-like searching for the hole in the dark. No comments from the peanut gallery either! No pics of the unit itself, so here is the remote!

I also built some more equipment for our home gym. Built an adjustable step-up/jump box (adjusts from 12" to 32" in 2" increments), a weight plate rack, a forearm/grip trainer, and a calf raise block.

Re: What did you get done 1/3/09 new year edition

It must be in the air or something. My wife is wanting to upgrade our house, too. Luckily for me it's not the truck that is on the chopping block, it's my car. We repainted the bathrooms this weekend and upgraded the countertops and sinks to finish up pretty much everything at our house this weekend. It turned out really well.

Truckwise, all I did was walk past it this weekend. I really wanted to take it out and play, but I was lucky enough to get sick again. I didn't feel like doing much of anything at all.

Re: What did you get done 1/3/09 new year edition

well, finally got the flexplate in and went to put it on tonight, got the flexplate bolted to the crank, bolted the tranny and little do dads back on to the motor, put that stupid tranny crossmember in...figured before I put the d/s in I'd bolt up the tq converter to the flexplate...Stupid O'reilleys gave me a flexplate for a 400 not a 700r, so I walked away...had the darn thing almost back together...called O'reilleys and they'll have the right one in the morning waiting on me...came back to it after dinner and took everything back apart and put the flexplate in the car...I want to drive my truck so bad I can taste it...I'm jonesing for some diesel clackity clack...lol...

anyways, now I have another night of putting the beast back together...at least I'm getting quicker at it now...lol

Re: What did you get done 1/3/09 new year edition

Tonight I got the truck all ready to be put on the road. got a bumper off a 90's model truck bolted up, h4 headlights installed, LED tag lights, 7 pin trailer wire plug all wired up.
Now I just gotta go get the tag renewed tomorrow and put some gas in it and I'll be ready to roll down the highway for the first time in 5 years.
