Re: Want to get hitched? CPP introduces the hidden hitch for the 67-72 Chevy Trucks!

Jeff,
I'm assuming just about any fuel tank that is commonly available will fit with this hitch. It appears there is no part of the hitch that is inboard of the frame in a direction that would interfere with the typical blazer tank or between teh rail tank. Can you give us any details on the tank in the pic?
Thanks
Jason

Re: Want to get hitched? CPP introduces the hidden hitch for the 67-72 Chevy Trucks!

FAQ's

The hitch fits 67-72 coil spring trucks. The rear frame and bumper assembly does not match to the earlier, later, or leaf spring trucks. The Suburban and Blazer have a different frame section and bumper brackets.

CPP redesigned the hitch years ago so that it will work with the CPP 20 gallon fuel tanks that mounts under the bed.

The hitch ataches to the sides of the frame, and the bottom of the very end of the frame. We include long nut plates with a small handel so that the hitch assembly can be installed with the fuel tank already installed.

We have not built a hitch for the 63-66 trucks. The bumper assembly is different and requires a complete redesign.

This is a great part for the 67-72trucks.
I wish it would fit more applications.

Are there any hitches left at the special price?

That price was a total screwup on me but i did honor them for 24hrs at that price. I looked above and noticed Danny had covered most fit questions. What were you trying to put it on? Thanks Jeff.

built my own and I ve got 125 in parts 150 in sweat equity still a good deal. Sounds like someone gave jeff cost instead of retail Im in sales it has happened to me more than once in the building supply business you honor it like Jeff and go on when you on commission thou that is some expensive experience to buy.

Hey Danny
Just double checking. As above in my question I would be using the 67-72 rear bumper and I would assume mounting brackets.

So you don't think this hitch will work?

I am going under the assumption that the frames are the same width, I could be wrong.

I am not 100%. It may work. I thought the bed/tailgate hieght was different on the 63-66 trucks. It sounds like you may be able to bolt it on, but I am not sure.

Fair enough. I'll need to do some measuring.

Thanks Danny.

I'm a little confused. This kit in your catalog lists for $159. Is it a misprint?

100% error in catalog. I was adding everything up to give members the best deal possible only to realize our cost was almost double I quickly sent that to the catalog dept for corrections in the next catalog.

I guess I am the only lucky one that got it for the "mistake" price! Received it and it looks great! Thanks Jeff.

Nope, picked mine up in person today, having put it in will call last week. Met Jeff in person, nice guy and all around car guy. The shop looks great and man do they have a lot of the little, hard to find parts in the show room. Also saw the new Wilwood D52 style, direct fit calipers. Ohhhh so nice!!!

This hitch is BEEFY!!!! Can't wait to get it install... when I get the body back on the frame. LOL

Thanks again Jeff!
