Re: Guage install
I'm glad I didn't think of something like this a while ago, I might have spent far too much money...looks really good, though

Re: Guage install
I used the 5" speedometer, and tachometer. All the rest were 2-5/8" .

Re: Guage install
Finally installed..... I managed to keep the factory turn signal indicators in the OE spot. I had to add my high beam indicator in between the tach and speedo. and if you look real close you see a small green LED in between the tach and speedo at the bottom. That is my 4 wheel drive indicator light... All in all I'm glad its done I like it the only thing I don't like is when its all together you don't see the full faces of the speedo and tach. I need to figure a way to angle them up a little

Re: Guage install
About 3 hours for the gauges, and about 5 hours for the truck wiring including swapping oil, and temp sending units, and installing a speedometer sender. I'm not fast by any means.

Might just take you up on that one day. I'm tired of messing with it at the moment. LOL

Re: Guage install
Couldnt you just use the angled piece that you cut off the back?

Re: Guage install
I thought about that, but its too small I need it to go all the way around the gauge to make it look flush on the outside. I think PVC will be the best route Just not today LOL.

Re: Guage install
I am pretty sure you can buy those angled pieces...check Summit, Jegs, or similar places.

Re: Guage install
nice progress any more pics of the wiring or info on the way you wired it all up. as for angleing the gauge up try using these, they use them for boats, they are a bit pricey but they are really nice.

Re: Guage install
If you guys working on wiring don't want to go through tracing and wiring each component, Painless has a kit they offer and supposivly pretty detailed directions on how to hook everything up.
I personally have used the kit yet but I think a few other board members here have and have liked it pretty well, it's what I plan to use when I do my own soon. Here's the link to the one Jegs sells, they offer one for electric and manual driven speedo's http://www.jegs.com/i/Painless+Perfo...30302/10002/-1
