Re: From wagonhoe's wife
I knew a Mark Taylor in school (Arcadia High class of 74). As a rider myself, this kind of news is always devastating to me. I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. Though money doesn't replace a loved one, I hope the vehicle that hit Mark was insured and you get compensated an amount that punishes the perp. God Bless You!

Re: From wagonhoe's wife
very sorry to hear of your loss.my thoughts and prayers are with you and may god bless you in your time of need.i didnt know your husband personally im sure he was a great man.reasons like this are why i never took up learing to ride motorcycles and other less than 4 wheeled vehicles.i trust myself and those i know but its everyone else who concerns me and my dad was nearly killed in a motorcycle crash 10-16-2008 he was on his way to work that morning and a driver not paying attention and had his niece in the car on top of that ran my dad over.my dad suffered the following injuries-bruising,cuts,scrapes and abrasions from head to toe, broken vertebrae in both his neck and lower back-not paralyzed thank god, subderral hematoma on his brain, swelling on his brain, severly sprained ankle(dont recall which one)and alot of minor injuries, aches, pains and short term memory loss.he has been forced into retirement and subsequently laid off due to his doctors not clearing him to go back to work.he has also been diagnosed with stenosis(narrowing)of his lower spine.sorry to jack your post but i really do feel strongly about this sort of thing as i was scared my dad might die before his time.me and my dad havent always seen eye to eye but he has always been there for me no matter what.i dont know what i would do sometimes if he wasnt here with us.

Re: From wagonhoe's wife
Mrs Taylor,I am very sorry.I remember Mark from the time I started coming here.He was one of the resident "long roofers" and a good member here in our family.I am so regretful to hear that his death must be mired by this legal battle that only rubs salt in your wounds. This is world is a sad place when guiltlessness and saving one`s own ass prevails over justice and accountability. It`s a crime that anger must take space with your sorrow.I detect no anger in your message, only acceptance...good on you.I`m sure you were a great pair who made a great family.People who ride are those who embrace life with the desire to live life at it`s best.I`m sure that would describe Mark and the life you two had.Our loss of this man is so much more than just another good person.May his soul lay rested in the fine place he earned.May the world somehow gain from this tragic early death of a "good one".God bless you,Mrs Taylor, and your loved ones.
Please everyone,LOOK for motorcycles and know,"I didn`t see it",is not even close to an excuse."It" was there for you to see and "it" is a he or she. They are nothing new, been around long as cars...expect them! You must care beyond yourself to care for these less threatening objects coming your way. They carry another soul, just as that semi truck does.See the person, not the object. It only takes a second to take a second look."Look" for motorcycles.

I can remember reading some of wagonhoe's posts. He was proud of his "Burb" and the new motor he built for it. This is a down day for the truck board but his posts will always be on here for other members to read and enjoy... I am truly sorry for his untimely passing but he will live on at 67-72chevytrucks.com. LockDoc

Hi Carolyn. I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I'm not on this board much anymore. I had the pleasure of meeting your husband at the SEMA show in 2008. A very nice fellow with a lot of enthusiasm for the hobby. I am glad to have met him. Take care.
