I am planning on using a mirror mount antenna. The mag mount antenna will evenually scratch your paint.

Re: installing CB + antenna and gun rack in a 67 K20?
Back in the early 90s my uncle had some kind of converter box that allowed him to plug his radio antenna into his CB. He didn't have the reach of a big CB antenna but it kept the exterior of his truck clean. Also not really subject related but I had an 84 Cadillac Fleetwood with a CB radio built into the car stereo. Flip the switch on the radio to CB Grab the GM labeled mic under the dash to the right of the steering column and you listen through the car's stereo speakers. Really cool option and I haven't seen too many since then.

I installed my CB cause down in Florida, when a hurricane blows through, very often that's the only way to comminicate for help, water, or assistance for others. Cell towers blow down, but no hurricane yet has blown down radio signals.
