I think you are right, he is up there often. You all are welcome!
Its not a 78 and older requirement per say but that includes 99% of the vehicles that show, The newest vehicle i have seen in the show while still being considered "old" was like an 86 el camino ss, My friend has a 99 trans am the 30th anniversary ws6 and they turned him down. However they allowed brand new challengers the year they came out a slammed to the ground 06ish vette i think there has been a 99 shelby cobra a ford GT, This is an every saturday night show and usually 85 percent repeats, But ya its typically anything 80 and back only. And once a year they hold the big show in Spring Tx (ive never been), Unsure if they still do it but had also been throwing a nifties fifties show at the Willowbrook 59 diner
heres a photobukt link to previous years

Re: Niftee 50ees Car Show (Houston)

All the new cars have to park in the storefront parking and not within the actual show.....but just a few feet away. They let my friend in with a 79' Z28 and it is a frame off resto-rod, but they reminded him that it was too new but the quality was the determining factor in their decision. I don't mind seeing a few nuubies at the show, as long as they are custom too! The show in Old Town Spring is called The Longhorn Car Show, and it brings out some exceptional rides. Check it on the web too!

I live about 15 minutes from the show and was there that night! I remember that last official record being about 530 and there were definately more cars/trucks this time than there were that time.

I have about 160 photos, but you can thank CVS for ruining the photos when they put them on a disk... Have to go back and have them reformat the damn things.

Lets play where's waldo! Find an orange '69 CST10!

Le sigh at that digital compression.

I've only seen two late models actually in with the show. Not including the Toyota mini-van that got stuck in the crowd!

Just bring $20, if they want to bring it in. One time donation.

Certainly give me a PM too, I'm going to try and make it out there as often as possible this year.

Re: Niftee 50ees Car Show (Houston)

Alright guys, it's almost here. April 2nd is the first Niftee 50ees show for the 2011 season. It's every Saturday night starting at 5:30 to about 9:30 at the corner of Spring-Cypress and Champions Forest Drive. Google it!!!! The first Saturday of the season is always the biggest, over 400 cars for sure last year, and it's free!!!
