Changed the gear oil in the rear end, got some new chrome end caps for the door pull-strap, worked on correcting the paint a little more, and helped my brother build a new fence.

Pulled the old crappy starter and installed a new high-torque mini starter, chased down an electrical issue, discovered the 8 month old Diehard battery was DOA, got that replaced under warranty.

Pulled the side mirrors off and painted them a metallic black to match the trim line on the truck.

Congrats on the new family addition!

Nothing as exciting as that here. Seriously, hope all are safe and sound!

Had to work the day job part of Saturday morning but came home and mowed the rest of the day. Yard and even the pasture got done finally.

And yes, here in east central Illinois spring has arrived and so has my annual routine spraying of our driveway,(my wife laughs at this near obsession of mine about not wanting weeds or grass in our gravel drive), then a trip to Harbor Freight for a some more nut & bolt storage units for the shop's "misc hardware section" and a set of "insurance"/jumper cables for the C-30 if it or someone else ever needs it.

Wife brought home a new flag for the rural homestead I dutifully installed,(it is lighted as well), and add a stop at Wally World for fuel on a Sunday errand run in the C-30. An enjoyable week-end overall.

Truck ran great and was a pleasure to drive!

Mark

I understand that completely. I was the same way when I had a gravel drive....

Re: What did you get done 4/18/10 weekend after tax day edition

Spent Saturday at the ballfield with the kid. It rained like stink but the kids got the game in.

Sunday was beautiful. Finally got the rest of the salvage parts off of the 79. Transferred some to the 77. Planning on installing the cruise control module into the 77 once I get new speedo cables ordered and will put in the intermittent wipers once I figure out how to wire it in with the harness that is in the 77 (obviously not the same as the 79).

For the wipers, you need to use the newer motor, wire in the pigtails for it, wire in the pigtail for the newer switch, and run one new wire from the motor to the switch. I still have all of the conversion details wrote down somewhere.

I pulled the trans from the dually, as it was making funky noises....took apart and found a band came loose from it's locating pin....and a few burned clutches.
So now saving up a few bucks for another TH400.....bummed.
