Re: Eagle Alloys 225 Wheel
Today I went to the body shop to test fit the wheels on my truck. Tires were not on the wheels so I could return them if there was a problem. I was only concerned with the fronts. I was afraid they would need grinding like their Boss 338s.
We jacked up the truck, pulled the rally wheel and slid on the 225. Fit like a glove! No issues at all Took a step back to take in the view and man they look HOT!! I can't wait to see these on my painted truck!! Unfortunately it will be 4 weeks before I get her back. Tomorrow I will have the Toyo Proxes mounted on the wheels and put them in the garage with the other new parts. Until she comes home I'll spend my off time playing Modern Warfare 2 online..just made Captain!

How long are your front hubs? Mine are like 2 3/4"s long. If yours are the same length, did the center cap fit? Thats my concern. What do you play MW2 on? |

Re: Eagle Alloys 225 Wheel
I'm not sure about the hub length but I can tell you the center cap didn't snap on. I didn't consider that an issue. Just need to dent the top of the dust cover.
Ninety percent of the time I'm playing Team Mercenary. My call sign is AusTx68 Other times I play Ground War. I prefer TM.

Re: Eagle Alloys 225 Wheel
I'll have to try using a spacer before beating it.
I play on PS3.

Re: Eagle Alloys 225 Wheel
I knew that was coming! Didn't have my camera when I was the shop checking the fit. My truck gets block sanded next week to prep for paint. I'll see what I can do. Might have to wait till it's done.

Re: Eagle Alloys 225 Wheel
I posted my fit results. They went on fine with no hub or clearance issues. I had the new Proxes mounted on the wheels and they are currently sitting pretty in my garage. My truck is getting painted. When I get it home (couple weeks), I'll post pics of the wheels on the truck.
So you had hub problems. That's interesting. Mine fit fine.

Re: Eagle Alloys 225 Wheel - Finally Got Pics!!
I finally got my truck back from the body shop and was able to mount my new wheels!! They look awesome! As you can see my truck is not quite finished. I will only have it for a few weeks then it goes back to re-shoot the door jams and final color sanding. When I mounted the front wheels the center cap didn't snap in place. I had to lightly tap the the bearing dust cover with a hammer to get them to fit. Once that was done they went on easy.

Re: Eagle Alloys 225 Wheel
Well, it started out as an ECE 4/6 static drop. At the time I was building a killer big block so I ordered BBC springs. I later switched to a 383 crate motor. After I got it all together I noticed it was sitting high up front. It was then I realized I had the wrong springs. I decided to cut a link off the springs to try and make it right. Well, instead of going conservative I cut 1 1/2 links. It ended up lower than I figured but came out looking badass and no clearance problems. Now I'd like to take an inch off the rear too
