did you paint the headers? if so I hope they had high temp paint already and not what they come with new either, or you stripped them if not they'll come off right away. Also if you didn't use high temp paint as well.

I know because i bought a brand new set from summit and sprayed them with silver high heat from vht and it just bubbled and flaked the factory paint off under my high temp stuff, thus taking off my high temp paint it sucked.

Looks like you painted the intake too, looks good.

no the headers are jet hot coated, and they are on the truck right now but they are going onto the new motor

and yess all the paint is high heat

intake has been sandblasted and then high head grill paint 500+ deg

should be healthy... cant wait to see a pic of it in the truck... i was thinking of repainting my 327 orange and buying jegs crinkle black dress up kit with the red chevrolet engraved in the valve covers... i do like how yours turned out... what size are your roller rockers? 1.6s?

1.6 should be a good street/strip motor around 400hp buying alum heads when i can aford them to realy make this a nasty motor

oh its going down the track moroso speed way(well pbir now) is like 10mins away from my house.

its been down the track a few times with the 305 17.0 spinning to the 60ft then a little after 2nd

thwe rest is fine with regular engine enamel paint, even the intake I just thought the headers were painted, they look great, I did my intake in reg. engine paint and it's held up fine to daily driving, only thing that makes em look bad is leaks or spills, I got antifreeze stains on mine which suck.
