i checked...the brown wire on the switch goes were its suppose to go until it comes down to the fuse box....????? stuck like chuck

The brown wire from the switch shouldn't go to the fuse block it is fused before the switch unless you mean the bulk head connector. Check the brown wire you found for continuity to ground if it has continuity insert power to it and see if your lights come on (I would use a power probe here, but you can make a test jumper with an inline 20 amp fuse to insert power) just to identify that wire.
