I finally got the instrument cluster done. I had WAY too many interruptions but that's the way it goes.... I have to figure out what to do with the choke hole to hide the background. I may have to try and find a stock choke cable. LockDoc

Re: GPS Speedometer Install
That is very nice. I though about adding a GPS permanently to my dash, but that looks allot nicer. The really nice thing about that is no matter what tires you are running it will be accurate. My truck with 36s on it is up to 20MPH off at times.

Re: GPS Speedometer Install
Did you spread the anntena out in the dash or leave it bundled up?

Re: GPS Speedometer Install
I'm going to take my dash I have now out of the truck and put the 4" speedo in it where the factory speedo is. This will happen sometime after the first of the year. Hopefully I'll get the new shoes for the truck also then.

Re: GPS Speedometer Install
I plan on it Doc. I may even buy one for the golf carts and build a pod so I can swap it in and out when I need to.
Could you post a shot of the antenna as it's mounted? Wondering how it would work just left under the dash or does it state in the directions it has to see day light?

Re: GPS Speedometer Install
LockDoc,
Very cool write up and nicely detailed instructions at that. Was thinking seriously about adding this to my setup in the future. Can you please give a website or phone number where to find this? Thank you kind sire.

Re: GPS Speedometer Install
Opps! My bad!
I sometimes skim over things a bit fast. Another question for you on your setup. Not seen your truck but some of us drive thru the woods and wondering if trees or city driving with large building around would cause any issues? Would love to have this for my project truck just a bit skeptical about this new technology product. Any thoughts?

I did it that way in case I ever go back to a trans that has a manual speedo output. Everything will still match in the cluster. This is a DD and I guess this setup fits me 'cause I'm weird anyway... LockDoc
