am i a ratard or is something amiss when i pump gas?

My '82 swb had the same problem, i had to hold it just right to pump gas, otherwise i would spend 10 minutes trying to pump $5 lol.

I was actually called retard by my friend once cause he was in the truck and kept hearing click off. He was like "retard, hold the handle down"

with my '81 SWB I tend to put the nozzle most of the way in and then "pry" up; push the handle down, so it kind of flexes the tube a bit. Seems to work for me...
