It could be, the years sound about right, but looking at the actual photo a little closer it looks like a chain drive, almost like a bicycle with a crank and pedals.

check out these---

http://www.motosolvang.com/bike_page..._DOT_Racer.htm

http://www.motosolvang.com/bike_pages/1914_Yale.htm

these are two i found that looked similiar to the pic. the "Belt" drive term is sometimes referred from the motor to the pedal. so it might be a belt there and chain from pedal to sprocket, would be my guess.

kind of like having a belt on your crank to run the motor, but the driveline spins the rear end....

***we posted about same time, so not a prob, i will have to post some pics of his restoration its pretty sweet looking***

Go to Graceland, and you'll find out that Elvis loved to read and collect books, amongst all his other hobbies.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Old pictures

Those American Pickers would eat that up. They are way into old bikes/motorcycles.

That bridge almost looks like the old St. Johns bridge or possible the old Ross Island one.

Talking Re: Old pictures

American Pickers bought the remains of one of those not long ago on there show. It's a beautiful bike and very rare and if it's still in the family whow!!!!

Another note, here is my dad back in the early 70's with if your eye is good you see the tail end of a 71-72 truck. This was taken in our drive way in Charlotte NC in Stone Heaven sub division.

This picture was at Evertt Chevorlet in Hickory NC. This was late 69 I think, we lived in Conover then before moving to Charlotte. I was 9 years old then.

Dad won the motor cycle for selling the most trucks. The camper was used by our family that year for 4 weeks of vacation. That was the first time I remember a vacation. it was wonderful.

I can't tell by looking at it, there was a ton of different MC brands in those days. Blow the picture up as big as you can to read, and maybe the logo on the tank side, or motor case will reveal something.

I love those old bikes, I'd be curious to know... Hey it ain't still in a family barn somewhere is it?

Geeze, look how much info showed up in the time it took me to reply. I did a Google search and found a complete 1908 issue of Motorcycles Illustrated... that was pretty neat.

Thanks, Not quite sure if my wife would like it in the living room, but I do have it hanging in my office. My Great Grandma was 95 when she passed away, and I think my grandma, said she was 19 in that picture. so that would put it about 1909.
