Re: Winter Grill Covers
No, I don't need one where I live. It only gets below zero for a few days a year.

Re: Winter Grill Covers
I might give that dahl canvas cover a try. I don't want a zipper though - i want three square sections each about 6 by 8 inches to be cut out of the center and have Velcro attached around those cut-outs. That way i could just pull the cut-outs off if needed or leave them on.
Similar to the newer style grill covers |

Re: Winter Grill Covers
Had a bra on an 84 firebird with velcro straps for the headlight "pop ups", they didn't hold up very well to the wind shear driving down the road. They always were flapping.

Re: Winter Grill Covers
I don't think it will be a problem with my design idea:
I want to completely cover the grill and have 3 vertical rectangles that can be completely removed when it is warmer. I think that since the grill is flat and not angled the wind shear will just push the patches on tight - so they wont flap around |

Re: Winter Grill Covers
Lund makes them or at least did.
Lund Screen Fronts and Cold Fronts... Father-In-Law had a screen for summer bugs and solid cover for winter. I would also think any good upholstry shop or Stitch on here could make them since he's familiar with our trucks.

Re: Winter Grill Covers
That's actually a great idea 48CJ - maybe stitch can chime in and make a few of these...if my friends dad won't do it I would love to support site vendors.
