Re: Patience is a virtue...
Beautiful truck!!
Can you post some pics of the interior? I have a 1970 that was originally the same color as yours (but has been repainted) and would love to see what the stock interior looked like. Thanks!

Re: Patience is a virtue...
I love those little staight sixes. They mind their own business noise-wise and rarely complain about not getting enough attention. Great purchase and welcome to the boards from the leftist regime of California.

Re: Patience is a virtue...
Welcome and congrats on the purchase. I'm still fairly new to all this too, but that has to be one of the cleanest starting points I've ever seen!

Re: Patience is a virtue...
I'm posting these for Sean.
We don't really know how much is original but the truck is real good condition and has been taken care of. I'm pretty sure it has had a paint (not real good job) Last edited by fattyarbuckle; 12-02-2010 at 07:09 PM. |

[QUOTE=fattyarbuckle;4327181]
. I'm pretty sure it has had a paint (not real good job) QUOTE] I was going to say it looked like it had been painted (but I did not want to pick at it) I noticed it did not have a fender emblem on one side and does not have any holes where the emblem would go. Look like it has had a new grill shell at some point too. Original paint or not, It is a SUPER NICE TRUCK.

Re: Patience is a virtue...
Yeah, we know the grill has been replaced but the fender is strange...no bondo anywhere that we can tell and the fender with the missing C/10 emblem looks as good as any original metal I have seen...it might be aftermarket not sure.
The frame is perfect. |

Re: Patience is a virtue...
This is one of those simple basic no frills truck that actually looks very sharp. I would not remove the painted white bumpers, they have a nice contrast against the grill and tailgate. This base painted bumper look is an indangered spieces. The things I would change are the cop car hubcaps and trim rings, this model would have white rims and white hubcaps ( the ones with blue bowtie and black gear trim.) Great choice, this truck will only appreciate in value.

Re: Patience is a virtue...
To me it looks like the seat has been recovered, also the front turn signal lenses are clear and i think stock lenses were yellow, so i guess you better yard that stuff out of your truck and send them to me.. asap!
Sweet truck! and welcome!!

Re: Patience is a virtue...
What a nice unmolested truck........getting harder and harder to find. Whether you leave it stock or modify, it sure is nice to start with a good solid foundation.
