First I agree it is nice of 70burbulgy to offer 68Custom the truck back.
But I don't know where one should draw the line I mean buying a truck out from someone probably isn't the nicest thing to do but buying it out from someone just to Ebay it and make a buck.. well that's kind of lame I think. Just my .00002 cents

The way it was posted "If i had the space to take it up, i would have along time ago but being in college, thats just not possible. Anyone near this truck should definitely look at this!!" left it open to be bought in my opinion. Bad timing and a change of mind by 68 Custom led to someone else buying it. I don't think it was "bought out underneath of" anyone. Offering him a chance to go ahead and get it to me says that 70burbugly is making a very fair offer. If he wanted, we all know that he could ebay it or whatever else he wanted to do and make some money. To me, no harm done.

I dont think he was "buying it out from under" anyone. It was up for sale, first come first serve. I even email 68custom for a ph# because I would have drove over to it right away. He did say " somebody should go and look at it". Sounded like he wasnt going to but it?? Sure , had he said he was GOING to buy it that would be different. 70burbulgy sounds like a great honest guy by offering the truck to 68custom.

I agree, you did nothing wrong 70burbulgy, I remember his original post and he said that someone should go look at it. I am not a longbed fan but a anniversary special is something I would be interested in.

IMO you owe no apologies, you did absolutely nothing wrong man. I guess I am a slimeball also because if I had the time to go look at it I would have bought it.

Gene, a.k.a. fellow slimeball.

To set this straight for everyone out there it was my loss not to talk to the guy thursday on my way home. 70burbulgy had a fair chance just as anyone did that drove by it. he didn't go under me by any means. it also was nice of him to offer it to me, but i now realize that my education has higher priority than a truck. I already own a 50th even though the original paint is gone, it still holds its true nature. i also believe i did us all a favor by posting that notice and the pics so that it would not become such a truck that is used for "working purposes" should i hadn't gotten to it in time. so i congradulate you burbulgy on your score, good luck with the truck!
