Re: Any van love?

Here is my '87 g20 doing some autocrossing with the previous owner. I actually find it more functional than my pick-up especially when hauling the kids around.

Someday I would love a Quigley 4x4 van.

Well said... You would get a kick out of "vannin", a van forum. You wouldn't believe the S&%$ these guys try to pass off as vans. Honda Odsseys, Ford Voyagers, and Dodge Caravans as far as the eye can judge. I love classic cars, trucks and vans... How is it possible that anyone can take pride in their 2001 "dust buster" Chrystler Town and Country?

Re: Any van love?

Saw one the other day painted flat black, had a light bar across the roof, big winch bumper and mud tires. My mom said it gave her the creeps, lol. I liked it.

Re: Any van love?

Wow. I never "got" the van thing. Really don't like driving them, although I have to admit they must be great for family transport, and I've seen some of the luxury conversion jobs that would be nice to take the kids on long trips.

I've always said I will never drive a minivan, in fact my wife has a bumpersticker that says just that. I would drive a 60s station wagon. But until there are no more Suburbans left I see no need to ever consider a minivan. I don't care how perfectly utilitarian they are, I plan on keeping my man card. We have two Suburbans now.

I love the club name Kidnappers, lol! Reminds me of the black one in the movie Old School. People with vans are up to no good;>

I agree completely, we also have 2 burbs. I can see getting a man van, but never a mini van POS. I`d pimp an A-Team van in a heartbeat, or a 60`s GM van.

Extra creativity... and candy!!!

Being a van guy has it's perks:
  • Never ending supply of lotion
  • Never too busy to take playground breaks
  • Best collection of "mood music" you've ever heard
  • Your best sleep will be in a van... Although you may wake up drowsy and hog tied
  • If you put a christian fish on your van, you'll be known as the "funny guy"
  • Infinite towing capacity because you'll be able to pull unlimited A$$
  • Everyday is opposite day... No means Yes

Re: Any van love?

My van the day I picked it up... Super Rapey... The man that sold it to me actually said this... "You can do lines on that counter top if you want." After purchasing this van I called the police to ask if they would do a "courtesy drug search" in a vehicle I had purchased... The said no. WTF?
