Re: Skunkswifes 55 chevy
skunkwerx,
I spoke with massey's and got the link to their ebay store. I measured my center bore and it came out to 2.95". they sell a set but at the very bottom of the page it says that they will not fit OE rims. It does lists a bunch of different aftermarket wheels. My question is what kind of rims are you running, they look stock OE. thanks again for the lead. They are the only ones that I could find with the smaller bore (2.95") brian

Re: Skunkswifes 55 chevy
The wheels r from Early Wheel Company, they r fairly cheap,& u get to pick ur width and back space.

Dang, that is a nice find. I really like what you did with it. Simple, slam it and just drive it, Definetly a cool factor there. Nice work

Re: Skunkswifes 55 chevy
Skunkwerks,
Thanks again for the lead. I ordered up the bullet centers from massey's ebay store. They were very good to work with. I got them today and I am very satisfied with them. I did have to open up the bore just a bit with a die grinder to make them fit but they are exactly what I was looking for. I scored a free set of chrome new lug nuts from my chevy dealership. I threw one to see how it looked....just the look is was going for. thanks again brian

Looks good Mark!!! Are you taking this and your 68 to the show this week end? Tell Nichole that I've got a set of horns that this one needs!

I'd be tempted to call it C'Rusty... short for Cool and Rusty! Love the truck!

Re: Skunkswifes 55 chevy
Absolutely love this truck. I am in the progress of bagged my 56 with a camaro front clip and was wondering if you had any photos of your front suspension setup? how the bag is mounted and if you cut/notched the upper arm.. it would be a real help.
Thanks B. |

Re: Skunkswifes 55 chevy
Just wondering why the sheet steel is rusty but the engine isn't? I'd be for stripping the engine and getting some nice rust going on it quick. And the headers too.
