When I built the rear end on the Mustang I used the oven in the house for the new bearings. When I walked in and opened the oven door with car parts in my hand she was like uhhhh..WTF are you doing? 400* for about 20 minutes they plopped right down on the new pinion. Just make sure to really really clean all the preservetive oils off with some alcohol. Then it's no different than any other metal object going in there. Yup bearings in the oven and pinion in the freezer.

I wish i lived in a house right now where i could get away with stuff like that man i wish i had my own space right now im sharing a house with a family member who complains if i leave one dish in the sink.Painting in the house and all of that would probably get me evicted since the family member i live owns this house.He is a bit of a drama queen though lol.
