I tried to post a reply a minute ago and then it didn't show up so if this double posts I don't know what happened!

Anyway, WOW! I'm sold on using the CLR. I had planned on doing that anyway but up till now hadn't seen any pictures that showed the type of results you can get...very impressed. Thanks for the link

I'll post up before and after pics once i can get it done. Hopefully as early as this weekend!

Re: Rattle Can or Primer before body work...

cant you sand the bad spots and do the prep work and hit it with a can of primer like spot primer and then when it comes to painting sand the primer down and hit it with a spray primer ?

Here's an idea for you. But you have to promise to NEVER tell a single soul Ever...Its top secret.
ADD PAINT TO YOUR PRIMER...........I have done it many a times.
one qaurt per gallon.
It's not rocket science.

That sounds suspiciously like work

Nah j/k others left me thinking the primer would still soak up moisture. Painting (a real nice paint job) is years away so it's either paint her on the cheap, dents and all, or just wax after cleaning up with clr. I will probably do the later while this whole "patina" fad lasts!

Mum's the word Sir! Um, after decoding your secret message I'm left with the impression that mixing the paint with the primer will act as a sealer keeping out the moisture. Is that correct?

Please burm your monitor after reading so as to keep proper OPSEC Sir!
