Seat Belts....Make The Old Look New Again

Good job!!! but you make feel bad because recently I put separate BMW buckets and I throw to garbage the old ones and you now what? They were black.
Now you make me think if in a future can we offer to share anything before make it garbage.

As much as I like bucket seats, I like the classic look of the bench seat in our era trucks. These newly reconditioned stock seat belts will make that bench seat look that much better. I'm just waiting for a new bench seat cover and I'll start putting it all back together. Thanks for your input.

An amazing job. Seeing before/after, there's no way I would have guessed they could come out that good!

Did you drop the belts with the hardware in the solution? No worries about the metal/chrome hardware? Labels don't pick up the dye?

Your "before" looks EXACTLY like mine do. I tried soaking, bleaching, scrubbing, to no avail. Didn't even think to dye them. Plus, I've got a black vinyl bench seat going in.

Yes, I dropped the belt in with all hardware attached. The metal and Chrome do not dye, It wiped right off. As far as the labels, go figure! I thought that they would turn black but possibly made of a material that the dye wouldn't take to. I'm glad they didn't turn black.

You should try to dye them. As for lubing the parts. Here's a thread from a member on buckle cover removal. My belts looked bad (as you see in the before pictures) and this thread was a great deal of help in achieving the outcome that I got from dying them. Good Luck.

Not only do they look good, but you'll be happy with how perminate the dye is. I did mine like 12 yrs. ago and they still look great!
