I would love to convert my 79 to 4X4. Everyone thinks it is since it sits higher with bigger tires and new front suspension.

so can anyone help me out on this b4 i start cutting on the post spudz posted the first link says measure 8'' from the cab mount crossmember then 14'' from there, and on the second link say measure 6'' which one is correct

I honestly dont remember where I cut mine. If you want the holes to line up I cant help you, if it dosent matter cut anywhere on the flat part of the frame. I know thats what I did, maybe 2-3" back from the cab mount was where I made my cut....

No, I was in the middle of making a how-to for Jeff to put on 73-87.com and my computer crashed and I lost everything. There were a few I posted on here somewhere but its been so long ago I have no idea what the thread was even called.
I had lots of pics of the process, but I removed them from my camera on the the computer and lost them. After that I now copy from camera to computer and then to a backup hard drive I have before they are completely deleted from the camera.....

You definitely stole that bed for $80, I paid $500 for mine but that was delivered to kansas from texas.
