That is just incredible. I can't believe all of that trash is in a fuel tank. I agree, maybe some little hands had decided to "hide" some stuff in there. Maybe that is why the PO quit using the truck.

That's about how the tank looked on my 72, it had sat for 10 years with about half a tank of gas, it had pinholes rusted along the line where the gas came too. I think I posted some pics when I pulled the sending unit out, looked a whole lot like yours. I lucked into a good tank from a 68 ton that had been on the road till about a year ago, tank is nice and clean!
