Re: 72 C10 Project

Figured I would update this some. I have since sold the engine and transmission out to of the truck. I have decided to go the LS route! I picked up a 03 5.3L on Craigslist for $900 with all the accessories and computer. Had most of the wiring harness but he cut some of it so I’m going to just go with an aftermarket one. Been trying to decide which transmission I was going to use. Found a 4L80e on Craigslist for $500! And it is a Jasper rebuilt with low miles. I’m hoping to get it set in the truck this weekend. Also going to be moving the gas tank from behind the seat to under the bed.

Re: 72 C10 Project

Got the engine and transmission put in the truck. Ended up buying some POL tublar mounts but had to modify them to work with my frame. Ordered a wiring harness from PSI which should be here tomorrow. The fuel cell I bought won't fit under the bed so I am putting it in the bed. Not where I want it but it will work. Also ordered up all my fuel lines and fittings. So got some work in front of me! I will try and get some pictures up soon. Also going to try and document what I used on my fuel system.

Took the glove box out and made one out of sheet metal to hold the PCM.
