Re: My New 2WD Toy

Get a soft top. You're not going to be driving it in the winter snow anyway. http://www.softopper.com/Softopper_M...01%201969-1972

Re: My New 2WD Toy

Been eyeing these wheels up as an alternative to the boss 338's

Anyone running these or seen them in person?

Re: My New 2WD Toy

Just a little note; double wall tops bolt up into the top (removal of interior panels for on/off).

Re: My New 2WD Toy

Good Info Phat Tony , I never did get around to bolting my top onto the other truck i had. What holds the Single wall ones on? Do you still need to remove the side panels?

Re: My New 2WD Toy

Single wall tops bolt into caged nuts in the "box" tops, so the bolts go in from the top and interior stays intact. I spose it kinda depends on what your little truck came with; I'm not sure if all Blazer/Jimmy's came with the internal hardware for single wall tops, under the trim my top has 2 sets of holes.

Re: My New 2WD Toy

I remember seeing that one around Langley. It could definately use some new shoes. I saw it at the chevron at 200th and Fraser a few times. Stupid big blocks haha

Re: My New 2WD Toy

@ MUSTARDJIMMY - This would be the truck if you seen it at the langley Chevron , The Previos owners lived around the corner. New Wheels are on and now the truck needs to be lowered again When it slows down here at the boat shop i'll bring it down and tinker with it again.

This 396 BB is definately not fuel efficient , tossing around the idea of pulling out the BB and swapping in an LS drivetrain from a C6 vette. The guy who rents the shop next to me parts out Vettes and Camaro's and has a nice drivetrain sitting on the shelf ready to go. Or if i dont go that route I may look into fuel injecting the BB.

Anyone gone this route before , or have any experience with stand alone fuel injection?
